Business hours - Hierarchy and Auditing

Last updated: February 26, 2026

Business Hours Hierarchy:

TL;DR: GoodTime will read your business hours from one of three different locations to identify when we might schedule an interview event.  These three locations nest on top of each other in the following fashion to provide you full control on when interview events may be scheduled:

1. First priority: Individual Interviewer Level - overrides all setting levels

     2. Second priority: Interview Template Level - overrides company setting

          3. Third priority: Company Level - most general setting level

    Ex. Bill Smith’s hours: Monday-Thhursday 9:00AM-5:00PM, Friday 9:00AM-4:00PM

Business Hours Auditing:

TL;DR: Within the GoodTime 'Team Tab' you are able to see the available business hours for each of your interviewers.  This field reads any profile restrictions that your interviewers may have in place to provide you with an indication of how many hours they are available to interview per week.  NOTE:  This field does not take into consideration any individual meetings on their calendar (the search algorithm will do this), this field instead assumes that if their calendar was completely open (no events at all) how many hours have they allocated for interviewing.

Settings business hour restrictions at the individual interviewer level will reduce an interviewers available Business Hours for interviewing.

We recommend conducting regular audits of your team member / interviewer business hours within the Team Tab to identify any individuals whose business hours may be limiting your ability to schedule candidates (especially relevant if the interviewer is not part of a larger tagged group).
