GoodTime Multi-Tenancy Functionality
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Overview:
GoodTime’s Multiple Calendar Tenancy Support (Multi-Tenancy) allows organizations using GoodTime to gain visibility into another organization’s employees calendar free/busy spaces for scheduling purposes. This feature facilitates the scheduling of interviews across multiple email domains, improving collaboration and efficiency when coordinating interview processes
Relationship Among Authorized Organizations:
When one GoodTime instance authorizes another GoodTime instance to access its calendars. The relationship is established within GoodTime. The relationship is unidirectional. (When Org A authorizes Org B, it does not automatically mean Org B authorizes Org A. Org B needs to explicitly grant access to Org A.)
The GoodTime multi-tenancy relationship is non-hierarchical. This means the orgs that have authorized each other can be thought of as sibling orgs. (There’s no parent and child hierarchy)
We’ll reference “parent GoodTime instance” as the company who signed a contract with GoodTime and “sibling GoodTime instance” as the additional domains created to support additional scheduling scenarios
Key Features & Functionalities:
Cross-Organization Calendar Access:
Users from one GoodTime organization can view the availability of users from another GoodTime organization, ensuring efficient scheduling of interviews.Streamlined Scheduling:
Coordinators can easily view, select, and schedule interview times without having to navigate between multiple platforms, providing a seamless scheduling experience.
Functionality Variations:
While GoodTime’s Multi-Tenancy Support offers significant advantages, there are differences in functionalities when scheduling.
Ability to manage interviewer settings will remain within the GoodTime instance tied to the interviewer’s domain. This means Org B interviewers will not flow into Org A’s GoodTime instance Team tab. Customers will need to manage interviewer settings within the proper GoodTime instance
Timezone & Working Hours - viewable across GoodTime instances with multi-tenancy, adjustable only within GoodTime instance matching interviewer’s domain
Interviewer Load Balance - only tracked within GoodTime instance matching interviewer’s domain
Tags - can be viewed as associated with the interviewer across GoodTime instances with multi-tenancy. Created & used only within GoodTime instance matching interviewer’s domain
Training Paths - Will only support interviewers pulled from Org A and will not see the interviewers on the Org B directory.
Insights Tab: Data in the Insights tab will display based on the respective GoodTime instance. Each organization maintains its own insights and reporting separately without cross-organizational data aggregation.
Ability to export from GoodTime insights and merge with your own company’s data analyst team is still possible
Login Access: Each GoodTime instance is connected with one domain and users are required to login with the credentials matching the domain.
How to Best Utilize Multiple Calendar Tenancy Support:
Ensure that all team members involved in scheduling are aware of the various functionalities when scheduling with multi-tenancy setup
Check timezone differences and confirm working hours with team members in the other organization
Use internal communications to load balance interview assignments and ensure roles and scorecards are assigned correctly within each organization.
GoodTime’s Multiple Calendar Tenancy Support is continually evolving. While certain features may have limitations, the ability to share calendar data between organizations greatly enhances the scheduling process, making it easier to coordinate interviews across teams and organizations.
