Request Availability Overview
GoodTime allows you to significantly reduce the time it takes to schedule interviews by automating many of the steps in the interview scheduling process. When using GoodTime to schedule, you will want to ask yourself:
Do I have the candidates availability?
- If NO, use the "Request Availability" workflow to request the time from the candidate and then use the "Schedule Now" flow to confirm the interview.
- If YES, use the "Schedule Now" workflow to confirm and schedule the interview.
NOTE: If your company has set the option to "require review before scheduling" to OFF, candidates will automatically be scheduled for the first available interview option after they submit availability. Therefore, you will not have to complete the "Schedule Now" flow after requesting availability from the candidate using the GoodTime system. This eliminates the time between the interviewer giving their availability and confirming the interview which we typically see take 2 - 48 hours for most companies.
Recommendation:
- If this is your first time scheduling an interview, create a test candidate in your ATS. This will allow you to test how things look and work before using a real candidate. Be sure to use an obvious fake candidate that is easily recognizable (EX: cartoon characters).
