Oct 2022 - Candidate Phone Numbers
Background:
It was previously the case that GoodTime was unable to pull a candidates phone number from SmartRecruiters as there was no available endpoint for ST to reference.
GoodTime Update:
Thanks to SmartRecruiters now making this endpoint available it is possible for GoodTime to pull a candidates telephone number directly from their SmartRecruiters candidate profile for you to dynamically use within your emails and calendar events. To access a candidate's phone number in your scheduling flow simply use the $Candidate.PhoneNumber variable in your email and calendar templates.
__________
Hiring Team Automatic Update
Background:
When interviews are scheduled in GoodTime, it is a common issue that interviewers cannot access the SmartRecruiters (SR) scorecard included in the interviewer calendar invite as they were not originally listed as part of the interviewing team in SR.
The solve for this issue has been for the recruiting team to manually add interviewers to the interviewing team in SR so that they can access the SR scorecard.
GoodTime Update:
GoodTime has recently upgraded their integration with SR to eliminate the above issue. When an interviewer is scheduled via GoodTime that was not originally part of the interviewing team listed in SR, GoodTime will automatically add that interviewer to the interviewing team so that they can access the scorecard.
Expected Behaviour:
In SR, if a job has two interviewers A and B listed as the interviewing team; then in GoodTime, a user can schedule the interview with interviewers A,B,C,D. Since C and D are not in SR, GoodTime will insert C and D as part of the interviewing team in SR. The end result is that A,B,C and D will all be able to access the scorecard. linked in their calendar invite without the need for any intervention by the recruiting ream/manual updates in SR.
NOTE: The update of the interviewing team in SR will not occur immediately but asynchronously 1 hour after the interview has been scheduled. This is done intentionally to ensure the speed of the interview schedule is not unnecessarily slowed.
__________
Email Sync to SmartRecruiters
Background:
Scheduling emails which are initiated from within the GoodTime platform previously existed only within GoodTime. This would mean the broader hiring team had a lack of context regarding a candidates engagement when reviewing their profile in SmartRecruiters (SR).
GoodTime Update:
GoodTime has recently upgraded their integration with SR to eliminate the above issue. All email communications to candidates that are originated by GoodTime will now be pushed back to the relevant candidate profile in SR.
Expected Behavior:
When the "Sync Emails to ATS" setting is toggled-on within your company settings in GoodTime any email correspondence sent to a candidate from within GoodTime will be pushed back to the 'Notes' section of the relevant candidates profile within SR. These emails will be pushed as an 'open note' meaning anyone with access to the relevant candidates profile will also be able to see all emails pushed from GoodTime. Note: It is a SR limitation that GoodTime emails will be pushed to 'Notes' and not the Email tab within SR. Additionally, all GoodTime emails pushed to SR will be attributed as follows:
Line 1 - The candidate’s name
Line 2 - Fixed Text indicating "Email sent to candidate from GoodTime"
Line 3 - The name of the logged-in GoodTime user who initiated the email send.
Toggle-on Email syncing within company settings.
Explanation of email header details.
