- Custom Cancellation and Reschedule notes can help to keep your recruiting team members aligned. They offer a clear paper trail and do not require you to jump into another tool to share an update with your interviewing team. This feature can help eliminate confusion and help take your processes to the next level.
What does it do and why use it?
- Custom notes allow you to add additional text to provide more context for the cancellation or reschedule reason. This field is optional, and notes are automatically relayed to affected interviewers for visibility.
- Custom Cancellation Note: Affected interviewers will receive an email notification that includes the cancellation note. This note will also be visible under the ‘Activity’ section of the interview.
- Custom Reschedule Note: Reschedule note is displayed in the calendar event for all interviewers.

How do you enable this feature?
- You may or may not see this feature already, depending on whether you have requested early access. If you do not see this in your view and would like access any Super Admin on your GoodTime account can activate this feature with your GoodTime 'Early Access' tab.
- This feature is currently in early access and is scheduled for General Release on 1 July 2024.
Are there any potential drawbacks to using this feature?
- Adding a custom note creates an additional step for the Coordinator/Recruiter; however, collecting data from your detailed notes on cancellations/reschedules can be valuable in identifying trends and root causes.
What questions/ feedback have we received from customers so far?
- Will candidates receive the cancellation or reschedule note?
- NO - These notes are only visible to interviewers.
- Is there reporting available just for the custom notes?
- Reporting for the custom notes will be available in the future. If you’d like to see a summary of the custom cancel and reschedule reasons you have collected so far, please reach out to your CSM.
- Do I have to add a custom note to reschedule or cancel an interview?
- NO - The custom note and the cancellation/reschedule reason field are entirely optional.
